Welcome To My Blog On Japan

In this blog started in April of 2008, interesting images that I run into will be posted and I will make a small comment about them. My comments may have far reaching implications or no implications at all. Most of the photos posted here will be strangely beautiful, but some may prove to be a little disheartening in some way or to someone.

Hidden Jewels

I love mountains, but I often find that the mountains around here nothing interesting. But once in a while, after taking a wrong turn down a little rough country road, one runs into WOW!!

I am glad that Japan is a peaceful nation.

The Totoro Moth

Mother Nature is absolutely amazing. The natural beauty she produces is at times staggering. For those familiar with the Japanese animation character Totoro, you'll see him right away.

A Cute Little Morsel

Often, food in Japan is too beautiful to eat. It is a major reason for many who have come to reside in this country as to why they love it here. Definitely, the looks is half the flavor!!

Butchered

If you like trees, pray that you are not reincarnated as one here in Japan, like the hundreds in my neighborhood and the thousands in my city, that are violently pruned back once or twice a year.

Holy Shit!!

This is what I said to myself when I saw this bathroom stall. I Swear!! Only in Japan can you see such a scene. Can anyone guess the pounds per square inch coming out of that poor guy's butt?

No Message In The Bottle

I thought this bottle was rather striking and attractive. There were hundreds of such bottles. None of them had messages inside. Also, other various garbage was washed up on the beach. Not a pretty sight actually. The locals all say it comes from Korea. Ya Right.
